Been busy (a lot) at work lah~
But I'm still thankful that there's still a lot of there who support my cosplay works (despite my absence in the scenes lately hehehe) ...

I am sooo geared up.
Had my passport renewed early this year.
Blocked off all other plans for November.

Ok ... by now I've accepted the fact that I will be missing AFA (again) this year.
I was soooo rushing and preparing but then just when I was about decided to book and reserve lodging, I found out I have an important project to work on at the office ... and since my work is a priority for me, I scratched it off my agenda already. (T_T)

I will be free by November 13 instead, just right after my client visit is done.
This visit is so important that I cannot miss it.
And I can't have anyone else take care of it.

So okay ... my plans for SG and the people I want to meet ...
I hope to meet them next year instead ... waaaahhhh!

So it's been quite some time as well since I updated my DA ei?

I got some new skin, hooray! I love 2NE1 and so does my sistser LiZhong so I decided to finally change it after my Lady Gaga one hehe.

So where do I start?

I guess I'd like to thank all those who my works and me! Even though I haven't been that active for months, the viewers and watchers are still there. So thank you for your appreciation of my works too. Hmmm, I dunno what I'll do in exchange hehe ... uhmmm, maybe a cosplay plan of your choice? But I need to familiarize myself with the characters of course hehe. But really, thank you very much!

After launching three (3) initial costumes during the first half of the year, I've successfully launched another three this time around! Hooray! While I am unable to attend more events, I've tried to manage my time pretty well in some recent events hehe.

Fantasy Quest was really a fun event. T'was my first time to go out of the metro for a convention. T'was really a whirlwind ride, considering that I came from work that day and I was already sleepy but I still tried to come hehe. I went there with my friend and colleague (yeah we're from the same office back then hehe) KiraHokuten who had real plans in taking photos. While me, I just really wanted to roam around teehee!

Overall, the event was a first and a success! Thanks to the organizers!

Aside from the location being a highlight, their guest stars were the "main attraction" as well. Of course they're non-other than yolkler and yuegene Everybody was fangirling haha!





Can you tell how happy everyone was?
It left a good mark in the Philippine cosplay history. I'm happy to see good friends around as well and I surely had fun despite the work fatigue hehe.

I did post an event announcement / teaser about it and as expected, the organizers delivered. T'was the best event, it is and will always be ... ever!

My and my friend and xiong di Weakman did try to join the Tournament of the Champions II or simply TORCH II. But due to some mishaps, we failed to register on site. Nevertheless, watching the other contestants was fun!





I'm happy to see my friend jaRoukaSama Yuu and her partner Marko win as runner-up in the competition!

TEAM VOSTEL won! I loved their skit! It was an awesome Voltes V duo! Teehee!

October 1-2, 2011
The event-proper! Wooohooo!

On the 1st Day, I finally cosplayed Mira Armstrong. T'was a year in the making haha. Well, almost. It was a plan with Kynkyn and team and since she's an ultimate fave of mine as well, I didn't think twice to cosplay her. But due to costume mishaps and time constraints ... yeah it took sooo long.

On the 2nd Day, the other pic I've been putting on as a teaser in my past journals, I've also finally launched it - Meiko Synchronicity Version from Vocaloid. This one I bet, was exactly a year in preparation haha. T'was last year's Cosmania when we thought we could've launched it as a group but we weren't able to. My cosplay sistah Naokoko initiated it. I guess it's still about time for us to complete it since the rumored 3rd installment of the PV has been delayed for so long and now, there are hints of its continuation, somehow!

T'was the best Cosplay Mania event ever!

It wouldn't be complete without the awesome guests of course. Clive Lee, YukiGodbless, and JiakiDarkness were really a crowd-getter. I'm lucky to have met them!

And of course, who'd forget, our beloved pinkyluxun She was always HOT! Hahaha! People flock around her hehe. I'm glad to have met her personally too!

Aside from the guests, it was of course another highlight of the event to see who'll win TORCH II and represent the Philippines in the Regional Cosplay Competition to be held at AFA 2011. So happy to see that our dear friends darkdiety and partner AC Hernandez have won the tournament!

Some time July 2011 and ongoing

So I've started blogging again ...
It's been running for a few months now and I guess, I'm luvin' it hehe. I started way back 2003 and I had my humble abode at Xanga but as I did state previously, I moved to a new place.

I enjoy sharing free flow of thoughts, I guess. I normally just type whatever. It's like typing as I speak (like what I'm doin' now). I concentrate on topics like cosplay of course, events, reviews, food and lotsa food and nom-noming , a few beauty and fashion topics, and weird random thoughts. Do pay a visit hehe.

I am not giving up on the thought of still coming to AFA 2011. I'm cramming now! Lah~

Status report! Well, I have just attended two (2) conventions haha. That's a progress at least, right? I attended MCC 2011 (Metro Comic Con 2011) and TOYCON 2011 (10th Philippine Toys, Hobbies, and Collectibles Convention).

Wohoo! Success as a comeback!

Alright, so the remainder of 2011, I already have costumes in queue. Meaning, they're already in finishing touches from my tailor. Call me too-picky or very meticulous but sorry, my eye for accuracy plays a great role and I ain't satisfied with them yet. My poor tailor! But they're all fully paid (and some extra costs waiting hehe) so he will finish soon!

CONVENTIONS

So I've just attended one (1) convention this year so far, and that was last Metro Comic Con 2011 or "MCC 2011" Day 2 (Individual Group Cosplay Competition), May 2011. I was undecided at first because of the following reasons:

I have five (5) costumes pending at my tailor already (which he hasn't finished and they are all fully paid) – I did not want to add up another work load but I wanted a new character for MCC. The others were intended for prior conventions, but I wasn't able to attend due to work schedule conflict / client commitments or I was sick; or just simply because they were not done on time so I didn't bother.
Since this year, I've gotten fatter. LOL. And the character I've wanted to portray is … well, not too-sexy but a "fit" and muscled-woman known for her great powers. I didn't trust myself that I could lose more weight prior to the convention. (Can't help but eat and love to eat esp. when you're with your special someone ).
My tailor had a lot of other costumes lined up and mine too … and I barely had two (2) weeks to push him to complete.
I was not certain if I could get the right wig on time or use my old one, which may ruin the look since the wig's already … uh … unkempt hehe.

However, I did push thru. The costume was easier for my tailor to do than the rest so he fulfilled it. And thanks to my dear love, he kept me company all day.
How sweet!
He pulled my luggage all day, keeping all the pervs away, assisting me with my shoot, fixing my costume and hair every now and then … etc.
Sorry for the mushy-ness but I'm just grateful he was there all day for me.
He was also bullying me all-day though haha. LOL.
Yeah, I was a bit chubby for Jean Grey that day but WTF! I love her and so I pulled it off. Hehehe. Next time, after our exercise routines and when I get even slimmer, I'll have a photoshoot … a more proper one for this hehe.

So … I mentioned about our group right?
Well, the costumes are still with the tailor but at last! To date, the last piece I'm missing is … shoes/covers! Hooray!

Also, one of the groups I planned since 2009 may likely push thru this June for Toycon. Keeping my fingers crossed hehe.

PERSONAL LIFE

Uh … well, I've been super busy at work with all my client deliverables and my operations duties.
Plus, the food business that me and my love are managing is taking a bit of a toll in my time.
Do I hate it? Nope. I love it! But the stress is killing me! LOL.

I'm still creating a page for the newly opened-own concept branch we're having which is more of a local / Filipino-food type.
I'm excited as well for our opening this June!

I did plan to open our own Maid Café, after hearing about one branch in Malate.
I just think it's too costly for now and I cannot manage more branches at the moment hehehe.
Good enough, MeiDolls Café opened two (2) branches for everyone to enjoy! I guess that's good for now hehe.
