Jean Grey - Am I Worth It by chenmeicai Jean Grey - Am I Worth It by chenmeicai
Character: Jean Grey
Series: X-Men / Marvel Vs. Capcom / Capcom vs. Street Fighter
Type: Comics / TV Series / Arcade Game
Date: May 8, 2011
Location: SM Megamall Megatrade Hall
Event: Metro Comic Con 2011 (MCC)

My first-ever female superhero!
The super heroine I've always loved since gradeschool!

I was thinking of doing the Phoenix version ...
But I thought I'd stick with the original ...
After all, that's the one I dearly treasure.
The one with wavy seems-unkempt hair. :D

I was thinking twice too, if I will continue this attempt or dump it. I've gotten fatter (LOL :p in love hehe) but WTH! I love her so go go go! :)

Marvel Girl/Jean Grey, Uncanny X-men #137
“Scott, am i worth it? I destroyed a world–in my mind, I can still hear the screams of the dying–and it felt good! I don’t want that feeling ever again. And yet–I do!"

When I graced the ramp during the catwalk for the MCC Individual Cosplay Competition, I thought of mentioning these lines. But while holding the microphone, I totally forgot it all! LOL. :p So it was all adlib on-stage haha!

This is the same photo I used in my cosplay resume:

Inset Jean Grey Trading Cards courtesy of Marvel.com. I used to own the same trading cards when I was a kid. I just lost all of my X-Men cards in 2006 after a fire that caught our house.

Hello from the material you've done that part of the yellow and blue costume? and how they are brought together?

Hello! Thanks for asking. :)

The cloth are basic spandex. The blue part is a metallic spandex fabric. They are stitched together so they don't fall off. I kinda liked that technique better so the figure is more captured and shown. :)

you make a great Jean Grey or should I say Chai Grey. hehehe. yes stick with the original jean grey. she is already a kick ass character. a powerful psionic in the marvel universe. to have the power of the power is just like cheating. love the cosplay chai if Scott Summers can see he will probably go blind from your radiance.

Sadly, there are less manly cosplayers around who'd find Cyclops' costume attractive; and non-comics fans consider it "baduy" haha. So I dare folks here to cosplay Cyclops in his original version in the series haha - not First Class or anything but the Uncanny Xmen mix. :p

Even Jean Grey's costume (this version) is not preferred I guess; since this version is rather old-school. More folks prefer her Phoenix version hehehe. :D

well i for one prefer your version which is from the Gold Team of X-Men during the time when Jim Lee or was it andy kubert penciling the X-Men Comics. oh well cant remember clearly.

too bad about the Cyclops costume i think his costume is rather simple and easy to do. the important thing is to focus on his visor. maybe put some lighting gadgetry on the visor to represent his optic blast. i think that would be cool.

Not a lot of men can do a proper Cyclops cosplay because they don't have either 1) the guts, 2) the bod! LOL. :p
